Dog Pound

K – 4th Grade with no experience or 1-2 years of experience.

Schedule

RJW’s season begins at the end of November and runs through the beginning of March. Wrestlers typically practice 2-3 Evenings per week.

Winter 2024 Practice Days & Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays: Dog Pound/Intermediate: 6:30 – 7:30pm / Advanced 7:30 – 9:00 pm Saturdays: Dog Pound/Intermediate: 1:00 – 2:00pm / Advanced 2:00 – 3:30 pm

All practices will take place in Ridgewood High School’s Gym 2. (Please note that Saturday practices will not be held when a rec meet is scheduled).

Registration is to be completed through Ridgewood’s Community Pass.

Communication

GroupSpot

All communication for those enrolled in RJW will take place through the Group Spot application.

Equipment

 

All youth wrestlers must have wrestling shoes, wrestling headgear and a water bottle with your wrestler’s name on it.

The Twin County Junior Wrestling League (TCJWL) is a youth wrestling organization that serves the Northern New Jersey counties of Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, and Morris. The league is designed to promote the sport of wrestling among young athletes, providing them with opportunities to learn, compete, and develop their skills in a structured yet nurturing environment.


What are the Rec Matches and Dual Team?

Rec Matches are open to all wrestlers for the JRW2022-2023 season. RJW’s Dual Team competes in the Twin County Wrestling League.
